Sudan and China established diplomatic relations on February 4th, 1959. The two countries were keen to promote the bilateral relations in all fields. The extended history of bilateral relations between the two countries reflect friendly relations, mutual benefits, and people to people exchanges
Sudan and China have fostered enduring ties, with projects spanning energy, agriculture, and technology.
On October 18th, 1957, Prime Minister Zhou Enlai met with the Sudanese
Peace delegation and shook hands with the head of the delegation.
Several agreements between the two countries, including political, economic, commercial,
health, agricultural, and cultural cooperation, were signed in Beijing on December 20th, 1971.
On December 13th, 1984, Mr. Deng Xiaoping, Director of the Advisory Board of the Central Committee
of the Communist Party, received H.E. Mr. Jafar An-Numeri, President of Sudan, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
